The Nauti Cat Has Arrived

Our new boat Nauti Cat is finally in the water we have done a couple of trips over the last few weekends and the boat is running fantastic and great to dive off!

Nauti Cat is a 9m long and 3m wide aluminium Catamaran built in Western Australia. The Boat is powered by two 225 hp Yamaha 4 stroke outboards giving it a comfortable cruise of 20 knots and a top speed of 30knots. Nauti Cat is in full NSW survey for 12 people with all the latest safety gear including emergency O2. “For your comfort the boat also has a full toilet onboard”. There is a dive seat down the middle of the boat that holds 16 tanks with tank storage under the seat. The vessel has a side dive door for easy access to the water and a nice big dive ladder at the rear of the boat. For the deep dives we have a 5m safety stop bar with surface supply of air.

Today we had a fantastic morning out at Cook Island on Nauti Cat, with great conditions a small swell of around 1m and light westerly wind. We had 6-8m visibility and 20 deg water. Lots of turtles and a very friendly dolphin came and had a look at our snorkelers.

To finish off the day there was two pods of whales breaching just out from Cook Island. What a FANASTIC DAY!!!!

Another Fantastic day diving on the gold coast, we had 24 deg on the north side of Cook Island on the surface with a cold current on the bottom of 21 deg, Visibility was 8-10 on high tide which dropped to 5m with outgoing tide lots of turtles out and about. South side had 15m Visibility with 25 deg water temp, there was a nice sized leopard shark and we had a Manta Ray out at the coral gardens.

Today we had some fantastic diving on the gold coast, out at Cook Island we had 24 deg temps with fantastic vis 15M on the north side, with leopard sharks, turtles, lots of fish and mantis shrimps every where!!

Today was a bit on the rougher side with a 2o knot southerly and around 2m of swell The vis was 8-10m and water temp 25 Another good dive thow with lots of fish life including turtles everywhere!!!

Today was a great day out at Cook Island with 12 m + visibility on the north and south side’s. There was a small current on the northside of the island with no current on the south. The water temp was 25 degrees so still fantastic conditons out there for Snorkeling and diving.

We were lucky to get the 15m+ yesterday out at Cook Island.

Today was a fluke with the weather report last night saying stroms were coming with 2 M of swell and lots of wind, as per usual the WEATHER PREDICTION WAS WRONG!!! lucky for us

When we arrived out at Cook Island the swell hadn’t lifted yet and the Vis Was Awesome 20m+ Today Cook really turned it on for us!! The dives were too good to be true The water was like a bath and so clear we had 8-10 turtles all hanging around out at the Turtle Sanctuary with Spotted eagle rays cruising around over our heads. Next we found some boxer shrimp, spanish dancer’s, mantis shrimp, hermit crabs in a punch up, nudi’s, Leopard sharks, clown fish, an unusual pipe fish wrapped up in the weed Too Much To List an unforgetable dive!!

Everyone had such a good time incredible the average dive time was 60 min with 60 -70 bar left considering a standard dive out at Cook normaly is around 45 min!!! Every one on the boat agreed this was the BEST DIVE AT COOK ISLAND BY FARE!!!

Finally the good Vis has returned!!!

Today we had a very nice 15-17m Vis on the North Side of Cook Island and a nice 26 deg water temp and no current making for a fantastic dive couldn’t ask for nicer condition’s. We had plenty of turtles out and about they were every where!!The Leopard sharks were out on the sand and cruising up and down the walls a fantastic couple of dives.

Today we had a nice 8 m Vis on the North side of Cook Island with 25 deg temp great day with lots of turtles and Leopard sharks. There was a medium current running down the wall of the north side making for a tougher than normal swim.

Today the Vis was on the improve we had a nice 6m on the south side with the water at a nice 25 deg We had two great dives with turtles lots of colourful fish and a few schools of queenfish swimming close into the island a great trip.
