Stress & Rescue
Do you know what to do in an emergency? Would you be able to rescue your buddy? Could you diagnose a diving related injury?
The Stress and Rescue Course is best described as challenging and rewarding. In this course you will learn invaluable skills and techniques that will help you prevent diving problems and if necessary, manage dive emergencies. The Stress & Rescue course is one which builds on your diving confidence, training you in self-rescue as well as assisting others in need. You will gain a massive increase and a heightened awareness of spotting potential problems and dealing with them before they become a problem. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at the end, say it’s the best course they’ve ever taken.
Some Things we cover during the course: 
- Recognizing the Causes and managing stress in other divers
- Detecting and dealing with diving related stress in yourself and your buddy
- Rescuing panicked divers
- Rescuing unresponsive divers
- Exits with an unconscious diver
- Simple, yet effective search patterns
Your Stress & Rescue course consists of 2 Theory sessions, 1 Pool session and 4 open water dives.
What’s Included
- An SSI Stress & Rescue pack with your manual slates and a DVD to watch
- All tuition fees, pool entry fees, boat dives, air fills and Tanks and weights
- O2 provider course
- Pool Session, 2 river training dives and 2 boat training dives out to Cook Island Marine Park with refreshments and fresh fruit between dives
An Internationally recognised Stress & Rescue certification
You’re Requirements
- Open Water Certification
- First aid and CPR (we run regular First Aid courses)
- Independent home study must be completed prior to commencement of the course
- Must have own Snorkelling equipment
Not Included
- Scuba Equipment /Hire gear available at course hire rates $50 for duration of course.
